President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Ebonyi for a two-day state visit.
The president arrived at the state about 11:15 a.m., joined by Gov. David Umahi of Ebonyi and other key government officials.
The president’s helicopter, registered 5N–FG1, landed on the pavilion within the governor’s mansion in his hometown of Uburu, Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state.
After greeting key government officials and traditional rulers, among others who had come to greet him, the president inspected a guard of honour mounted by the Nigerian Army.
The president will dedicate the ultra-modern King David University of Medical Sciences in Uburu, as well as the newly completed presidential lounge in Abakaliki.

The president is also expected to inaugurate the ultra-modern Ebonyi international shopping mall, facilities at the newly constructed government house, and completed road projects in the state, among others.
Security across the state had been beefed up with relevant security agencies assuring the public of adequate protection of lives and property.
