The Imo state governor, Emeka Ihedioha has being sacked by the supreme court.
The court however ordered that Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) be sworn in immediately.
A seven man panel of the apex court in a unanimous decison held that Ihedioha did not win majority of votes cast at the March 9 governorship election.
In a lead judgment by Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, was unanimous that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was wrong to have excluded some votes from the scores of Uzodinma.
The judgement in the Sokoto case has being postponed till monday.
