Some leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) are in Benue State for talks ahead of the 2023 elections.
Ex-Senate President Bukola Saraki is one among them, as are the governors of Bauchi and Sokoto states, Bala Mohammed and Aminu Tambuwal.
They met with Governor Samuel Ortom in Makurdi, the state capital.

The three chieftains have received nomination papers to run in the PDP presidential primary.
The meeting came after the one conducted in Abuja last week.
The Benue meeting talked on the selection of a consensus standard-bearer to oppose the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate next year.
