Biafra: IPOB speaks on Buhari ordering Nnamdi Kanu’s release

On Monday, the Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB, responded to reports that President Muhammadu Buhari had ordered the release of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

According to reports, Buhari has ordered the release of the IPOB leader from incarceration.

Kanu has been imprisoned since June 20, 2021, when he was apprehended in Kenya and returned to Nigeria.

Upon his return to Nigeria, the IPOB leader was charged before the Federal High Court in Abuja presided over by Justice Binta Nyako.

The IPOB leader was charged with terrorism-related offenses.

However, rumours on the internet claimed that the President had ordered the release of the IPOB leader.

However, Emma Powerful, the IPOB’s spokesperson, rejected such allegations.
