In front of its La Liga clash with Granada on 20 September, Barcelona suffered a major double blow.
On Wednesday, the Catalan Club confirmed that its players, Pedri and Jordi Alba, were standing on the sides of the race after an injury.
Pedri was injured with a thigh, while Alba was injured with a hamstring.
This comes after Barcelona lost three to three in the Champions League against Bayern Munich on Tuesday, at Camp Nou.
“Pedri has a quadriceps muscle injury in his left thigh. The player is unavailable for selection and his recovery will dictate his return.

“Tests carried out on Wednesday morning on Jordi Alba have revealed that he has injured the biceps femoris muscle in his right hamstring. As a result, the player is unavailable for selection until he has recovered.
“The left-back had to be replaced in the 74th minute of the game against Bayern Munich at Camp Nou, making way for Alejandro Balde to make his official debut for the first team,” Barcelona’s statement partly read.
