Suspected bandits kidnapped a security operative in Kaduna State’s Rigachikun hamlet in Igabi Local Government Area.
Other inhabitants were seized by the stern-looking gunmen who stormed the neighborhood on Wednesday morning.
Alhaji Shehu Madaki, a resident in the region, informed reports that bandits assaulted the hamlet near Kasan Dam about 1 a.m. on Wednesday.
According to him, the gunmen shot sporadically as they operated for hours unchallenged.
He went on to say that the neighborhood couldn’t sleep because of the gunshots, which continued for many minutes.
“Four people were abducted, including a security operative, who lives with us in the community,” he said.

As of the time of writing this report, neither the state government nor the police had reacted to the incident.
The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Mohammed Jalige, didn’t answer the calls and text messages to his phone.
