Army kills IPOB ESN fighters in raid of Ebonyi camps

Exercise Eastern Security Network, a militia branch of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been raided by GOLDEN DAWN forces (ESN).

The camps were located in Ochokwu village, Ebonyi State’s Ikwo Local Government Area.

During the clearance operation on Friday, many separatist gunmen were killed in a heavy combat.

AK-47 rifles, 7.62 mm ammo, magazines, and Biafra flags were among the weapons and things found.

The secessionists had been inhabiting the refuge for some time, according to a source informed PRNigeria.

“Troops engaged the gunmen in a firefight. The IPOB militants were subdued, according to the officer.

The military issued a statement on Saturday.

The officers were part of security personnel on protection duty for a campaign rally ahead of the Anambra poll.

The governorship election will hold on Saturday, November 6.
