Abia state Police nabs fak£ EFCC operatives operating with toy g¥n

The Police operatives in Abia State have arrested fak£ Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, operatives operating with toy g¥n.

The suspects were nabbed on Tuesday, based on credible intelligence received by the Central Police Station, Umuahia, that a four-man gang in EFCC uniforms came to Enyioma Christ Lodge, Umudike, and dispossessed some students of their phones at g¥npoint and forced them to transfer a total of N120,000 to their bank account.

The command’s spokesperson, who’s ASP Maureen Chinaka, in a statement on Saturday, 27th of January, 2024, said upon receipt of the information, officers from Central Police Station (CPS) Umuahia commenced an investigation and visited the crime scene, where they arrested three men from the Man O’ War base namely, Onyedikachi Ihechukwumere, 25, Onwuka Christopher, 26, and 30-year-old Tochukwu Obinna.

The statement reads,

“Exhibits recovered from them include: three out of the six st%len phones, a tricycle with REG No. HAF 011VG FLEET NO 5868, which was used to facilitate their criminal act.

Additionally, on Wednesday 24/01/2024, one James Prince Victor ‘M’ (39 years) of Ohuhu Umuahia North, who claimed to be an EFCC personnel who also led the Man O War suspects to the student lodge at Enyioma Christ Lodge Umudike was arrested together with Chidozie Onwuzuruike ‘M’ (40 years) of same address.

The following items were recovered from them: four red-coloured jackets with EFCC inscription, two EFCC ID cards, one of the st%len phones, one toy g¥n, four EFCC search warrants,” the statement reads. [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>>
