A tragic incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, 05, July 2020 as 28 people lost their lives in a boat mishap on River Benue at Kwaghter axis.
The boat was said to have had twenty eight people on board conveying Christian faithful to an annual Convention when it capsized, leaving no survivors.
While reacting, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has deeply sympathized with families of the victims whose boat capsized while crossing River Benue.
The Governor who described the incident as painful and unfortunate, particularly consoled with ECAN Church, Ijaha, Makurdi Local Government Area which members were involved in the boat mishap.
