4 Dead, 12 Injured In Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Crash

Not less than four persons have been confirmed dead in a fatal motor accident along Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Ogun State.

The report received by Freshreporters revealed that 12 persons were involved a fatal injury in the road crash.

The crash which occurred around 2:40pm on Monday had a total number of 16 people in the accident comprising three male adults, eight female adults and five male children.

The commercial bus marked, XC 330 WWD according to the Ogun State State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement was over speeding when the front tyre burst, four passengers died on the spot, comprising a boy of five years old, two male adults and one female adult.

“The bodies of the deceased victims had been deposited at FOS Mortuary, Ipara-Remo, while those of the injured were deposited at Idera Hospital and Victory Hospital, Ibara Remo”, Ogun State State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement (TRACE) Spokesman reported.

“While TRACE Corps commiserates with the family of the deceased, motorists are again advised to avoid excessive speed while on transit, especially now that the rains are here,” he added.
