3 sisters between the ages of 14 and 20 drowned in a river at Amaeze village in Ishiagu community of Ebonyi State.
In the tragic incident which occurred on Saturday April 25, the 3 sisters were found floating on the water, however what led to the deaths is yet to be uncovered.
The siblings who attended Comprehensive secondary school in Ishiagu, are buried beside the stream without caskets, as culture and tradition demand.
While confirming the incident, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ivo Divisional Police Post, Mr. Nwornu Daniel stated that it was a case of sudden and unnatural death.
