Church baptism ceremony in Bethlehem, eastern Free State province of South Africa turned tragic as 3 congregants lost their lives in the process.
The tragic event claimed the lives of two males, one female at Liebenbergvlei dam near Bethlehem on Saturday, 21 November 2020.
The 3 deceased congregants took part in a baptism alongside follow members from Botshabelo but couldn’t make it alive.

According to reports, the body of the female aged 24 was retrieved but the Lejweleputswa District K9 Search and Rescue team were unable to retrieve the bodies of the two males, aged 25 and 24 as they were still missing.
A similar case happened in Zimbabwe where a mermaid grabbed a 26-year-old woman identified as Rutendo Nhemachena while undergoing baptism at Manyame river in Zimbabwe, freshrepoters reported.
