Three Nigerians were arrested in India by the Mumbai Police Special Squad for been in possession of illegal drugs.
About 220 grams of cocaine worth over Rs 22 lakhs ($29,833.32) (N13.9m) were seized from the Nigerian Nationals at the point of the arrest.

The Suspects according to reports were arrested from Malad and Royal Palm areas of Mumbai by the special Squad of Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone XI along with the Bangur Nagar police.

They were arrested after the squad laid a trap at Link Road in Malad and apprehended 38-year-old Uche James after he arrived to deliver the contraband on Wednesday. 10.14 gramme of cocaine were Recovered from him.
However, Mr James was arraigned in court and remanded in police custody till December 7. The police team on Thursday arrested Emeka Cyprian and Chukwu Joseph at the transaction spot in Aarey Colony Goregaon.
They were reportedly found with 210 gramme of cocaine. The police recovered a total of over 200 gramme of cocaine worth from the trio, who were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, the official said.
