26-year-old man remanded over fraud of N1.2m, threat to life of victim

Imini Pius, a 26-year-old man, has been remanded in prison for stealing N1.2 million from one Ifeanyi Olijo Kingsley and then threatening his life with casual violence.

The defendant was accused with five counts of fraud, theft, and threatening to kill at an Osogbo Magistrates’ court.

The accused and others at large committed the felony sometime in May 2021 in Osogbo, Osun State, according to the Police Prosecutor, ASP Fagboyinbo Abiodun.

Pius and others who are still at large, Abiodun claimed the court, fraudulently collected the money under the guise of acquiring a Toyota Camry L.E. automobile for him and then threatened to murder him and his family members.

The prosecutor further alleged that the offences committed are contrary to and punishable under sections 422, 516, 86 and 390(9) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol.II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2002.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Magistrate A. A Adeyeba ordered the remand of the accused to Ilesa prison and adjourned the case to 26th of November, 2021.

That is good for him but let say the true is 26years person can be call old man that boy he still a some boy for what he do he still have a long ways to go why we he do that kind of things he still have many years to work hard but no they won’t do that they will be looking for the person that have make is money so they will collect it
    Some we even kill they after they collect there so many years working hard money God will fich you out one by one and you will never see forgiveness from God and people
